  1. I love you guys. You feel so much like me, but better.
These days my kids and I have been reading a LOT together... history, religion, science, and learning out loud like you. I have been wondering whether, because we are not writing stuff down, the kids will still remember it in years to come.
Then I realised this is a stupid question, because it doesnt really matter if they remember it. It is building their understanding of the world, and that's what matters.
I think 'learning out loud' is the NEXT BIG THING :)

  3. I love how you get all that learning in;physics, ethics, biology, linguistics. By the way, why do Americans have such a wide range of accents? I wish I had more time doing lessons with Random before I pulled his sister out of extended school year.

    1. I can't remember all the theories, we were trying to come up with some of our own that sounded reasonable. But I read a great book on it years ago, it's something to do with the size of the population before spoken media is developed in a country...

  4. I LOVE this post!
I could have written this post! LOL
Just today my son and I had this long walk together and our conversation was amazingly deep and broad. I felt like he had sucked my brain cells out of my head and into his own...it was great!

    Thanks for the lovely post!

    1. Hi Karen! Thanks! That's so cool. Isn't it great to just let their minds have space to roam?
